Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Starscoo's LLM gateway and related dashboards (the “Service”), operated by Starscoo (“Starscoo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or sending a request to the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including for actions taken with API keys you issue.

2. Acceptable Use

You will not use the Service to:

• generate or distribute content that violates applicable law,
• infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights,
• attempt to reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service,
• resell or sublicense access without our written consent,
• circumvent quotas, rate limits, or abuse detection.

3. API Keys & Security

You are solely responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Treat them like passwords. We may immediately revoke a key if we detect abuse or compromise. Notify us at security@starscoo.space as soon as you suspect a key has leaked.

4. Content & Data

You retain ownership of the content you submit (“Input”) and the content you receive (“Output”). We process Inputs solely to route them to the upstream provider and to render analytics in your dashboard. We do not use Inputs or Outputs to train models. Logs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and billing reconciliation.

5. Third-Party Providers

The Service routes requests to third-party model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and others). Your use of those models is also subject to the providers' terms. We make no warranties about the accuracy, suitability, or availability of upstream models.

6. Billing

Paid tiers are billed per the plan you select in your dashboard. Usage charges accrue based on metered tokens at the rates published in the model catalog. You authorize us to charge your payment method for any incurred fees.

7. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, suspected abuse, non-payment, or legal compulsion. You may close your account at any time from the dashboard.

8. Warranties & Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARSCOO'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
